You've established you have a problem, you're seeking out care, and now you want to know what a first visit is going to look like. Whether you have seen a chiropractor in the past, never seen a chiropractor, or haven't seen one in a long time, rest assured you're in the right place. Dr. Jackie sees patients of all ages and sizes and tailors her treatment specifically to the individual. That means whether you are looking for gentle, light force adjusting or more manual hands on adjusting, you will be adjusted in a way that 1. you are comfortable with 2. is safe and 3. works for you!

Peterson Chiropractic is located in the lower level of the Amery Dental Arts building across the hall from Kristo Orthodontics. You can find us by entering the main doors of the Dental arts building and taking the elevator or stairs to the lower level. You can follow the hall down and to the left to find us.

At your first visit, Dr. Jackie will review your intake forms, and talk about about the problem(s) you have been experiencing and your goals for care. Next Dr. Jackie will do an examination, this involves: Range of motion assessment, orthopedic tests, palpation of the spine and surrounding soft tissues, motor, sensory, and reflex assessment. The first visit takes about 45 minutes. The goal of the first visit is to gather as much information as possible to get to the root of the problem so an appropriate treatment plan can be developed.

After the exam, you will be adjusted on your first visit as long as no additional imaging is necessary before adjusting. Treatment typically consists of the adjustment, muscle work, and stretches and exercises as needed.
